In 1990 living in london I spyed an ad in the local NZ expat newspaper, deckhand crew wanted free passage from liverpool to american samoa, flight to samoa then new zealand. To say it was an adventure would be an gross understatement .
Massive storms in the Atlantic followed by running out of fresh water while the temperature was 50 celcius on deck in the Bermuda triangle.The engine started failing and the coast guard was sent out to look for us as we limped into Panama.
Thats only half the story!!
